Viktor Axelsen’s popularity has surged sky high in 2017. The Danish star also speaks fluent Mandarin, apart from Danish and English. This has helped him increase his fan base in countries like China and Hong Kong.
Viktor is in Hong Kong right now to participate in the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open which started earlier today. He is currently in very good form and is looking forward to better his results from his last tournament. Viktor lost to Chen Long in the finals of the Tahoe China Open 2017 last week.
Such stellar performances and his recent World Championships crown has earned him a huge number of fans in Hong Kong. This has made him require a personal bouncer / bodyguard to ease through public places. Viktor is also seen using thick sunglasses to help protect his identity in the video below.
Viktor will be playing his first round match tomorrow against Kazumasa Sakai of Japan.
P.S. This is a fake news. This is just a fun Instagram story from his teammate Anders Rasmussen.
