The Danish Duo of Mads Conrad & Mads Kolding met Kevin Sanjaya & Marcus Gideon in the semi finals of the recently concluded Yonex Sunrise India Open 2017. They had their chance to get their revenge for the loss they suffered at the All England Semi final two weeks ago.

On the contrary, The Indonesians stamped their authority by winning the match in only 2 games this time.

The Danes were however not impressed with the on court antics and behaviour of Kevin Sanjaya. The tension started to build up during the match. Many such incidents can be seen in the video below.

When the players shook hands at the end of the match, something quite intriguing happened. Mads Conrad took hold of Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo’s hand and seemed to say some lines of discontent to Kevin. The Dane clearly did not look pleased and Kevin Sanjaya looked bemused. They exchanged some works quickly. The Indonesian Coach quickly intervened before the situation escalated.

But what did Mads Conrad actually say to Kevin Sanjaya?

Mads Conrad later told this to Danish Media “TV 2 Sport” –

“I just said that he should remember to behave properly and respectfully towards his opponents. The rest we leave it between us, and it’s closed matter.”

It may also be remembered that a similar incident happened in the Semi Final of India Open last year too. Tan Wee Kiong of Malaysia refused to shake hands with Kevin Sanjaya then.
